PROBLEM

O2’s New Phone, Who Dis? content series aims to put the latest devices to the test through a strongly tech-focussed lens. However, with its clamshell design, Samsung’s new Z-Flip is less a new phone and more a revisited cultural moment. The tone of NPWD needed to change if we were to credibly talk about the device.

SOLUTION

We followed a day in the life of stylist and internet commentator Ayishat Akanbi, as she used the Z-Flip to style rapper Lemzi before his latest music video. To highlight the fold of the device, we created a split-screen film that comes together at the end for our big, hero moment.

We directed this (really proud of that tracking shot at the end - shout out to DOP & MVP Louis Brennan).
